Listen for me...

Sunday, December 7th, 10AM - 5PM will be the first ever ALL DAY class. I have rented a state of the art studio in Lexington, MA. Every student will play on their own beautiful new Clavinova (digital piano) and I will be demonstrating on a grand piano. Modern, bright, carpeted, with excellent acoustics. Convenient location 5 minutes from Route 128.

The class will have 2 parts to it - Playing By Ear and Playing the Blues. The price is yet to be determined, but will be around $130 for the whole day which will include hand-outs, books and CD's. There will be a break for lunch.

There are two issues, however. To enroll in this more advanced class, you need to have taken "Instant Piano.." and/or know your chords. This class is not for the very beginner.

The second issue is that there is only room for 10 students because there are 10 keyboards and everyone will have their own. Because of the small class size, I will be able to give lots more personal attention and critique.

In the next issue of eNotes, I will include a registration form with exact outline, cost, place, etc. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. If you think you might be interested, drop me a line so I can put you on a "short-list". This does not commit you or hold a place for you, but it gives me an idea of how many people wish to come.

The next issue of eNotes will contain an interview with a great piano teacher at the Berklee College of Music. Stay tuned!

See you in a couple of weeks. Enjoy the end of summer, everyone.

Debbie Gruber
