Hello,

Today’s eNotes is focusing on the bass line again.

It is a very underrated aspect of playing the piano, but one that, if given some loving attention and thought can really improve your playing.

So have a listen! I’ve used chord tones as well as scaler movement to invent bass line melodies, so to speak.

Next PianoPalooza Class


The next live piano class (one night one song) will be on Thursday, July 15 at 7pm. The song you will learn to play is “Early Autumn”. This is a gorgeous ballad that has a lot a harmonic complexity along with a hauntingly fluid melody.

As usual, every class member will receive a Zoom link, chord chart, music chart and summary video at the end of the class. $20. Limited to 10 students.
