Cool Voicing!
October 22, 2021

Friday, October 22, 2021

Hello,

Last week, we learned about how to vary a dominant seventh chord by adding a #9 and b13. This weeks lesson will give you a shortcut technique for playing a 7th chord with a 9th and a 13th. Scary good. (sorry!)

You get these extensions by playing the root of the chord in the left hand first. Then go down one whole step from that note in the right hand and build a major seventh chord. Then move your middle finger down by one half step and voila!!
Tune in here to watch lesson.

Again, as I mentioned last week, I will be playing a “Ghouling Pianos” gig on Saturday, October 30 from 9-11pm at Chunkys in Nashua, NH. Come by and request a song!
