Hello

In the last issue of eNotes, I told you that I would be interviewing a very talented blues/jazz pianist. He has played with Aretha Franklin, kd Lang, and Bonnie Raitt among many others. He tours regularly with Lyle Lovitt.

In the next couple of days, I have an interview lined up with him (lucky me) and it occurred to me that since the purpose of eNotes is to entertain, educate and inform you with all things musical, that perhaps you could be asking the questions! I will not be able to accomodate everyone's questions, but I can certainly grasp some overall themes (like, um..., how do I get to be as good as you?).

So, if you'd like to contribute a questions, by all means do so asap. Just click on this link and type away! Can't wait to hear from you. It's going to take place in the next few days so submit your questions now.

One-Day Class

After sending out information about this class on December 7th, I received a flurry of interest! That's great except I can only take 10 students which is much less than the amount of people who responded. I could go with renting a hotel room BUT everyone would need to bring their own keyboards. I am interested in your input on this as well. If I went with that option, would you be willing to bring your keyboard? You can contact me using the contact page on the website if you like to. Here's the link for that!
Bring your keyboard to class?

Well, that's it for this week. Just wanting to get your feedback in this issue of eNotes. Next time will be another rhythm lesson and/or the interview with our "celebrity" pianist!

take care, folks. Enjoy this gorgeous fall weather.

Debbie

P.S. By the way, did I tell you I went to hear Allison Kraus and Robert Plant in concert at the Harbor Pavillion in Boston this summer? They were incredible together. The music was ethereal, haunting, playful, beautiful and totally captivating.
